Rip off by seller

seller is still advertising Lanolin Gift Pack S6 3D 3N  (which really means 6 jars of lanolin cream if bought from the manufacturer). However when you receive the parcel there is 2 tubes of cream and 1 lar of cheap E cream. They then send you a return voucher to return for a refund  and ha ha they have your $50 and their goods as well. What an idiot I am and  correspondence to Ebay  was useless.

Your best bet would have been to do as sandy said and open a proper ebay claim.

Do you have the tracking for the item you returned? Maybe you can still try to open an ebay claim & upload the tracking details to show it has been returned. Worth a try anyway.

A lot depends too on what an ad actually said. I have no idea what S6 3D 3N means but I would rely on the ad to give details. Did the ad say in the title or description that there were 6 jars of lanolin cream included?

Ebay can seem pretty useless unless you follow the correct procedure to open a claim.

Hi springyzone. Thankyou for your reply. The advert has a picture of six tubs in carboard packs, the 3D 3N depicts three Day cream  and three Night cream. Yes I do still have the Australia post receipt however I don't expect to get any thing back at this late hour, it just seems so bad that they are still doing the same thing over and over.

As you say I didn't follow the eBay procedure as sandypebbles  said lesson learned.

Did  you open and follow through with an item not as described dispute within the time limit

Or just send them back 'on the seller's say so'

By 'voucher' do you mean a return postage label?

Did you upload the tracking for that label to the dipsute?

And you could  leave neg feedback to warn others

No use posting the seller name here, it will be removed by a mod since you agreed not to 'name and shame' when you joined

And correct, if you do not use the tools given by eBay within the time limit they are not going to help

If you sent emails to the bot automated thing, they are not going to help

If it's the one that left you feedback, than the ad does clearly say 6 jars.

But also based on the feedback date you have let them go over the Ebays MBG time period,  and as such yes Ebay wont be interested in you.  As they shouldnt be.   It sounds like you tried to deal directly with the seller,  big mistake and chalk it up to experience.

Thank you for your reply. I am going to say all of the above! Particularly to your last statement I hadn't realised that I was replying to the ether, just surprised i didn't get a reply from eBay. As you say Lessons learned.

If you paid with Paypal, try opening a claim there.

You have 180 days to claim with Paypal.
