Rip off on postage

I bought an item for $1.00 + $29.95 postage. However when I received the item, the actual postage would have been no more than $5.00. I also understand that some of this cost is for handling. But no one can tell me that two watches in plastic bags and in a 8"x6" post bag would cost $25. I think this is a blatant rip off......how does anyone else feel....

From which country were they posted?

Re: Rip off on postage

Postage is clearly displayed on the listing, and reading the sellers negative feedback before bidding is always a good idea.  You possibly could report him to ebay for fee evasion:|

Re: Rip off on postage

The OTT postage amount was blatantly obvious so why on earth did you buy them in the 1st place ? :O:O

Sorry but you have no right to complain-it was right there in front of you.

What you SHOULD have done is report the listing to ebay NOT gone ahead & bid on them.

Re: Rip off on postage

As a seller, you are obviously aware of true costs.

I am a buyer only. I have no way of knowing in advance of posting, how an item will be sent, or exact costs.

How do you judge a bad seller, before purchase??

I would really like to know if this is possible??

I get ripped off frequently and ebay don't care, or paypal for that matter!!!!

Re: Rip off on postage

Sounds like the seller is possibly avoiding extra fees, which is a no-no.

But you seem to think you've been ripped off, which I'm not quite getting. You purchased 2 watches for $1.00 + $29.95 postage.

Would you have purchased the same thing if it was only $1.00 postage but cost was $29.95?

Listing details state postage costs which are available for you to read before you make a purchase. If you are unsure - ask the Seller.

When I purchase an item, I take into consideration the total cost. Being both listing price and postage. Seems like common sense to me.....

The first and easiest thing to do is check the feedback and feedback comments. Usually but not always sellers in Australia selling stock that is in their possession is a better bet. and lastly, cheapest is not always best. I think it is a good idea to do some research before buying. Find out what the true value is for what you are buying.

Good luck with future purchases.

WOW that Sellers feedback is awful. Big red flag wavin' in the breeze there! 😮

OP personally I prefer to check FB prior to purchase and read Sellers TOS, including postage, & ask any questions prior to bidding. JMHO
