 I was  asked to return  items for a refund. Both the items were faulty . I arranged the return and  3 weeks later, i was told  i would not be getting one .They had closed the case because i had not contacted them in 20 days . Well, naturally i  would not as i had already sent the   goods back (collected by DHL from my house),  as requested,  and was waiting for the promised refund.

so. the scammer (seller) has my  money and    the scammers,( EBAY) have the goods (working or not) .

 I am about 95 bucks out of pocket and have nothing to show for it.

 Nice scam EBAY!!

No.I am afraid i didn't  do that.  The guy from DHL  collected it.I did not post it, so i had no tracking number.

Not eBay here, other members like yourself

 

Buyers cannot be scammed if they use the tools they are given

 

So are you saying you actually did  open an item not as described dispute?

 

Why did you not follow through with it?

 

The seller cannot close a case, only eBay can, when the buyer fails to follow through with it 

 

Or

 

It sounds (from what you posted) like you just did your own thing as the seller told you

 

In which case, if that is correct, you are not covered by eBay

 

eBay do not 'have the goods either'  eBay do not sell anything, nor are goods sent to eBay

 

Maybe learn how these things actually work and you won't be out of pocket

It's not a scam, it clearly states in e3Bay's MBG that you MUST escalate the claim within that time period or eBay will assume that there is no problem with the dispute.

OP, did you upload the tracking number in the dispute?

 

If you didn’t do so, then eBay’s automated process would not know that the items were returned.

 

You could contact eBay Live Chat with the tracking information and request an appeal based on that new information.

 

If that is unsuccessful, you can contact your bank and ask for a chargeback. However, do not do this unless you’ve exhausted the eBay avenue because eBay will immediately close an eBay case or appeal if simultaneously a chargeback request is opened. Use this as your last resort.

If you don't follow the process, it wont work for you.

 

Don't label Ebay as a scam, becuase you didnt follow the process.

I was until now. Seems Ebay scammed me as well. Asking me to send the items back for a refund and then telling me 3 weeks later i could not have one. Wny did they not tell me this before i sent the damn thing back?

I can completely understand how it is when you don't have a printer as I do not have one myself. We can’t send you a label in the mail. If you don’t have a printer yourself you could try printing the label in your work place. Alternatively, try asking friends or family to print it for you or you can access a printer at your local library.

 

I double checked the Waybill number and seems to be correct and working. I will attach a screen shot as reference and will include the steps to schedule a pick up. (sometimes it might take the spaces off and moving into the next steps (area code, and phone number) for DHL to update the information entered in the Waybill section)

 

To schedule a pick up, you will click on "schedule pickup", select "No" (you do not need to create a label). Click on the arrow to the left of the "You'll need either a DHL Waybill Number or a DHL account number to schedule a pickup" and select "I have a DHL Waybill Number" from the drop-down. You will need to enter the number 7053385695 in the Waybill section, your phone area code and your phone number.  

 

Once the return is delivered back to our shipping hub, our shipping partners will inspect the return, and then we will process the claim within 3 business days.
