 I was  asked to return  items for a refund. Both the items were faulty . I arranged the return and  3 weeks later, i was told  i would not be getting one .They had closed the case because i had not contacted them in 20 days . Well, naturally i  would not as i had already sent the   goods back (collected by DHL from my house),  as requested,  and was waiting for the promised refund.

so. the scammer (seller) has my  money and    the scammers,( EBAY) have the goods (working or not) .

 I am about 95 bucks out of pocket and have nothing to show for it.

 Nice scam EBAY!!

@hughj72, oh dear โ€ฆ The problem is that you didnโ€™t really follow the MBG process. You ignored the timeframes and you unfortunately believed what appears to be a dodgy seller.

 

I make it a rule never to accept a replacement offer, except from a big box Australian business where I trust the seller and know that ACL protects me.

 

I wouldnโ€™t believe a seller who has already let me down and wants to dangle a promise of replacement in front of me like a carrot ice cream in front of a donkey.

 

I would only return an eBay-purchased item within the MBG process. 

 

As annoyed as you are, youโ€™re out of pocket because you let yourself be strung along, or so I gauge from your replies.

 

Iโ€™ll also add that you should never let a situation like this go beyond the chargeback timeframe of your card issuer. (Check with your bank or read the T&Cs of your card. Timeframe varies but it will at MOST be 6 months. It could be as little as one or two months.)

 

 

 

 

If you follow the MBG process scrupulously, you should be protected.

How many  more times do i have to say it? I Did  return it in time .EBAY told me they were putting a stop on it to allow me to get it back in time .  I  had  it collected by DHL as instructed but   3 weeks later the case was closed because, they said, i didn ot contact them  during that time. What was there to contact them about? 

I had followed the instructions  and sent it back. I was waiting  for the  refund  i was told  i would get 3 days after they had inspected it  GET IT nOW? Se the  copy of email i received   about returning it  , which i posted in another answer

I can completely understand how it is when you dont have a printer as I do not have one myself. We canโ€™t send you a label in the mail. If you donโ€™t have a printer yourself you could try printing the label in your work place. Alternatively, try asking friends or family to print it for you or you can access a printer at your local library.

 

I double checked the Waybill number and seems to be correct and working. I will attach a screen shot as reference and will include the steps to schedule a pick up. (sometimes it might take the spaces off and moving into the next steps (area code, and phone number) for DHL to update the information entered in the Waybill section)

 

To schedule a pick up, you will click on "schedule pickup", select "No" (you do not need to create a label). Click on the arrow to the left of the "You'll need either a DHL Waybill Number or a DHL account number to schedule a pickup" and select "I have a DHL Waybill Number" from the drop-down. You will need to enter the number 7053385695 in the Waybill section, your phone area code and your phone number.  

 

Once the return is delivered back to our shipping hub, our shipping partners will inspect the return, and then we will process the claim within 3 business days.

If it was too late to send it back they would have not told me to return it for a refund. They would have said right there and then it was too late.  

I am not new to this place you know.i have been here  10 years at least.

Yes i  did fall for it but i still   had time to return it. If i did not, then they would not have told me to do so. They would have said right there and then it was too late but they sent instructions on what to do , which i followed
