star colours are changed according to the feedback number.  Hover your pointer over the star that is next to a feedback and it will day something like "Purple star icon for a feedback score inbetween 500 and 999"

You can find more info at the site map page http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/feedback/questions/star.html

Your next star will be blue when you reach 50 feedback.

thanks kopenhagen ๐Ÿ˜„

Happy New Year to you too.

I will be stuck on Turquoise for quite some time as I spread my buy and sells over three IDs ๐Ÿ˜‰  If I add my scores together they total nearly 600 but that doesn't count when it comes to star colour (they are all the same coulour at the moment and for the forseeable future).

Go Pies in 2013 !
