Hello,
I bought an RTX 4090 brand new for $3000 AUD and the seller sent a fake tracking number. Just a day before ebay was due to help, he added a tracking number that showed it was already delivered 3 days ago, but nothing ever arrived. My mum went to the post office and checked with them. and the new tracking number was an envelope when the item is 3kg+ and judging by the feedback a second victom gave, it probably wasn't even shipped to my address. eBay is refusing to help even with it being an obvious scam.
Solved! Go to Solution.

If the first hammer fails GP, just go to the bigger one - all the way to a sledgehammer if needs be. 😎

I was thinking one of those that attaches to a digger.
Betterer than a sledgehammer

Just looking at that makes my teeth hurt.

Good and bad news.
The bank is on my side, and eBay has 30 days to dispute the chargeback.
The bad news, someone from eBay tried to trap me into signing a legal document that I have received something, wether that be a box, or a different item etc. And they will not continue my eBay case if I do not sign it.

It's only bad news if you signed the document.
Don't.
You didn't receive anything - nothing was delivered to your address.
Leave it up to your bank - hopefully you have given them all the AP proof.

Do not sign - simple. The email from AusPost clearly states that the item "could not have been addressed to your address", so I am at a loss as to why an eBay CS representative would ask you to sign that you received something. Did they see the screenshot that you shared with us?

I would have explained to that moron - it is illegal to lie on a legal document.

I would also be informing the bank that the eBay 'clown' has instructed they want you to lie on a legal document

Here is the document if anyone is interested.
I have also attached the emails with the eBay person telling me to lie on a legal document.

I would seriously be contacting one of the news outlets, especially with Ebay asking you to lie on a Stat Dec and say that you received the "wrong thing", when in fact you received nothing at all.
