I realise that this has been raised before, but is there some way that Ebay can enforce a Seller to leave feedback ? I have recently purchased an item, and whilst the transaction was good all round, the time it took to arrived from Melbourne (Vic Aus) to Newcastle (N.S.W Aus) was 15 days, I conversed with the seller, and left positive feedback Now, a further 5 days on, the seller still has not left feedback for me. This is now the fourth time a seller has failed to do so, which I feel is unfair to the buyer. On all four occasions, it has been a seller who is also a business owner using Ebay, to sell their products. Some sort of major flagging method needs to be introduced to alert both parties to an incomplete transaction.

Think I'll begin a listing for Feedback - $5 a pop - FREE postage.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think that might come under digitally delivered goods?

That was common back when you needed a certain amount to start selling.

I agree with you that as a buyer, feedback is neither here nor there. But I would not say it is totally meaningless in that at some point, a buyer may wish to sell.
I know their feedback as a buyer doesn't necessarily reflect what they will be like as a seller but it at least helps to show if a person has been on ebay regularly or recently and that they should be familiar with the basics.
It might be unfair, but I would judge a 231 FB seller slightly differently to a 0 seller.
Would I actively message a seller for feedback? Not necessary at all with a score of 231. Obviously most sellers do leave feedback so brianc doesn't need to worry about the occasional one who doesn't.
