Seller Rip off's.

I am sick and tired of the sellers receiving my money and still 10 days later still have not posted my Paid for Item!. I have been played with by sellers and Ebay just keep letting the same people do this and get no reprimand.
I spend thousands a year on ebay but I am sick of this game where it takes me 30 days from when I perchase the items that never gets sent to get my money back. THE GAME IS Over with Ebay sellers as I am Never going to use Ebay ever again. I am going back to buying my things from a shop where I look and see and feel and buy and take home with me SATISFIED that I may have paid a little more but my item is real and if it is no good I will get a replacement strait away! ๐Ÿ‘ I'd say Ebay stocks may fall very bad in 2020 but they do not listen to the buyers that pay the money up front!
Don't listen and FOLD and lose your profits.
Leaving EBay never to return.

Seller Rip off's.

When an item is listed as Freight being used it often shows as post free and to contact the seller for a freight quote.

The sller has done nothing wrong as he told you to wait for an invoice with the charges.....why did you not ask for a quote first?

I have heard of that happening and (as someone else said) it seemed to happen mostly to those using a phone app. Showed up as free postage when it shouldn't. It is a bit of a worry it happened to you on a computer as well, it sounds as if the ebay system is a bit glitchy at times or else something is wrong with the seller's set up in the ad.

I'd be upset too if it showed as free to my postcode but then wasn't, especially as you went to the trouble to actually feed in the postcode and check.  $185 is a massive difference!

I am assuming here that as you smelled a rat and contacted the seller, you didn't actually commit to purchase the item, you didn't checkout or pay anything.

There really isn't a lot you can do as the seller obviously isn't prepared to sell the chairs to you with free freight.

Well done on being alert and checking before committing. At least you aren't caught up in an ebay dispute but I agree, the whole thing would be annoying.

I don't spend thousands a year so i am obviously not in your league, but on the other hand, I have been on ebay for about 20 years and in the last few years,  I rarely have any trouble getting my items in good time. I am at a loss to explain why you are having so much trouble.

Things are genuinely much, much, much faster than they were in the early 2000s and that's because you now get an estimated delivery date listed on ads and if something doesn't arrive by then or soon afterwards, you are perfectly entitled to open an ebay claim for item not received. If you do this, you should get your money back.

Most sellers these days are professional business sellers, there are a lot fewer of the amateur 'home sellers' who were sometimes a bit slack in the past.

You're free to buy from wherever you like but if you do ever buy from ebay under your other account, just do as I do.

-buy mostly from Australian sellers

-check out their feedback first, especially any negs, to see if there is a pattern. If lots of people are saying they are slow to post, give that seller a miss.

-check out the ETA, make sure it is only a week or so away

-open a claim for item not received if your purchase doesn't arrive pretty much in time. Allow a bit of grace but don't wait weeks.

If you do those things, you generally should have a fairly happy experience.
