Seller Will not send item as they did not get the price they wanted in the bidding

Hi Everyone, I have encountered a dodgie seller. The first item I purchased of him last year, He did not send it out for 2 months, He then cancelled the sale after this time and I was unable to leave any feedback. 5 other people left negative feedback, but he got eBay to cancel it so he is at 100 percent positive feedback. I purchased an item off him 2 weeks ago, but he just won't post it, as he wanted more money for it. I won the auction fair and square. Is eBay Australia a joke, or do they actually take things seriously. Thank you

I just encountered a dodgy seller, didn't answer my request for a tracking number, nor a reason why sending it. Only a new Member. Sold a Dress for $355, apparently a deceased estate, it's now for sale for $900, it is a old Chanel Dress. Well I didn't bid on it, just noticed. I hope they will ban this person from selling other stuff, as I think it's fraudulent to do this. Shame on deceased-auction-queen. What a joke.......I bought another lot but absolutely nothing from this person.

No idea where you got your figures from, but the dress originally sold for $510, not $355. It's very possible the buyer didn't pay, so the seller relisted. You do realise a seller can list for whatever they like don't you? Or would you prefer they consult you first? Also, I have absolutely no idea why you would request a tracking number when you didn't buy the item. You didn't even bid on it, so you have no right whatsoever to demand anything from the seller. From what I can see, buyers seem to be happy with the items this seller has. Leave the seller alone.

So you didnโ€™t buy anything from them but expect a tracking number for something you didnโ€™t buy

Name and shame them on a public forum which is against the forum rules you agreed to

You want them banned because you personally donโ€™t like them

Does all this have anything to do with them being seen as a competitor of yours so you want them gone?

I'm having trouble following this but maybe parts have been edited out by the mods.

What i don't get is why you requested a tracking number. If you didn't buy it, why would you want a tracking number and why would a seller tell it to you?

If I were selling, I wouldn't tell a random stranger someone else's tracking number. I don't think I am dodgy, I would just be worried about a possible scam.  You're talking about a fairly expensive item & you say it is a new seller.

I am not new to ebay but I wouldn't answer your message in those circumstances either.

As for the sale price of the item and the fact it is relisted at a higher price-I have no idea why & I am not in enough detective mode at present to try to uncover why.

Sometimes sales fall through (buyer change of mind) or sometimes new sellers don't get what they expected at auction and cancel the sale and relist at a price they think is more realistic. Is this second scenario what you are implying?

If it is, then yes, it isn't ideal for sellers to cancel a sale but I have a bit of sympathy with sellers (new sellers) who get caught in this situation and no one should have to sell their stuff at way under what they wanted for it. It's annoying they didn't do their homework before listing in the first place but it seems they have learnt the lesson so it isn't worth banning someone for.

Don't let it worry you, you haven't bid, you haven't bought, you haven't had the seller renege on a sale. It doesn't affect you. Let the actual buyers give feedback and deal with it.
