SO i called Ebay today to ask why my feedback was removed that i left for a seller who sold me a fake item. after questioning it and explaining the situation for some time to the consultant i was advised the reason it was removed as i had requested it 3 days earlier. to my supprise i told the consultant no that wasnt me. i would have not requested it as i had been ripped off and the item thrown in the bin.
looking at the history and emails i have found the seller requested my contact details and used it probably to call ebay and impersonate me to request the feedback be removed.
I am so supprised this could happen and someone could quite easily impersonate me.
if i had the documentation from ebay i would be making a police report about it.

japtrading,
I don't know why you are so surprised about f/back removal - it's been done all the time, with greatest of ease! Ringing Ebay, saying you are the buyer, you have made a mistake and want the f/back removed, and it's done straight away.
But, I am very surprised at your reason for giving one of your sellers a neg - for sending you sales emails???????????
What do you think Ebay does to all of us all the time?
Everywhere you look you can't miss all the unrelated sales sites, if you can ignore them you can just as well ignore the others.
It's called business, no one is forcing anyone to read their messages - and it's not like the seller was doing you some harm to warrant
the neg. f/back.
Just can't believe it! I have seen everything now.
I am exactly the oposite - I even ask all sellers that I deal with if they have a private site as I always prefer to deal with anyone directly, for all sorts of reasons - the main one is that is much more beneficial for a seller, they all work hard to get their own stores to look fantastic, they are free to take full control and manage their businesses in every sense of the word.
And customers treat them differently than they do on Ebay.
That sort of enviroment reflects positively on any seller - they thrive, and they invariably can't do enough for a customer - as they wish to keep them.

I guess you should consider yourself lucky that none of the other 20 sellers you left negs and neutrals for didn't do the same thing. That would really ruin your game, wouldn't it? Another addition to the happy buyers list!
