Seller rejected to accept faulty item return within the returnable period

Bought a product which is faulty, contacted seller to sick the refund. I offered the return of the product which i would pay for, but he simply rejected the request and stopped communicating. I used to buy a lot from ebay now i will consider other web sites. This has been a terrible experience. I tried to call Ebay team but before i reached anyone on the phone my international calling ate all my money. This is a very bad customer support service.

Why didn't you use the 1800 number to contact ebay....it is an Australian Freecall number?

Why were you calling international when there is a freecall 1800 number? You can also use the callback feature, which means they pay for the call.

Instead of having a hissy fit and threatening to throw in the towel, why didn't you just use the tools that eBay provide for these situations? Open a not as described dispute. The seller has no choice but to refund. If you don't use the tools provided, even eBay isn't going to be able to help you.

Don't even bother with trying to deal with the seller any more.

Go straight to the details in your My eBay section, it should show all your recent purchases, and open an official item not as described dispute. If you have photos to back up your claim, all the better.

If ebay rules in your favour, the seller will have to pay the return postage costs too.

It can be a bit stressful when things go wrong on ebay (or anywhere else) but when it happens you have to take a deep breath and work through the information & instructions because there are usually procedures you can follow to get the problem resolved.
