Selling stolen goods that wont work.

Some people are selling Optus Yes TV Fetch boxes on ebay.

Those boxes belong to Optus and were supposed to be returned at the end of a contract  or are still contracted but under another name, they  will not work without an activation code that you will not be able to get from Optus.

I had confirmation from Optus today to stay clear from those Yes TV boxes.

They should not be sold as they will not work even if you have an Optus account.

More importantly, has Optus reported these listings?

Or don't they care?

They probably don't care.

It is probably cheaper for them to loose a few boxes than to try to recover them.

I just feel sorry for the buyers that will end up with a useless Optus Fetch box.

Trouble is, often it's lower feedback buyers that go for this kind of thing and don't know they can open a dispute, even with the big blue return button staring them in the face.

Same story as the Foxtel boxes listed. They won't work as you can't activate them either.
