PLEASE RESPOND not with a generic answer, INVESTIGATE this seller and ARRANGE a refund please!!
Not going to happen.
Ebay is very automated, claims are automated to a large extent too.
You don't make a claim by sending an email to ebay, you're likely to just get an automated, generic reply.
The only way to get a result is to open an ebay claim and that has to be done within 30 days of the item's arrival.
Ebay will never get involved in warranty issues & if you buy from anyone overseas, those warranties are unenforceable. Did the ad even mention a warranty? A lot of them do, but they are just words on a screen.
Even if you buy from an Australian seller, unless they are authorised to sell that product, any warranty they mention is worthless.
Ebay won't touch the seller as the seller sent the item and you didn't open any claim within 30 days so they assume the item was fine when it arrived. And they aren't interested in warranty issues, that is between you and the seller or company. I am afraid you have lost your money but it is worth knowing for next time.
I personally would never buy anything remotely like this on ebay, better off going to a real store.

You out of time for any dispute with either eBay or Paypal.
Your seller is registered in Hong Kong so there is NO WARRANTY applicable.
Edit. You are not talking to eBay here, just members like yourself.

Yelling at other members is not going to help
How long you have been a member does not get special treatment
100% as a buyer is moot, since buyers cannot be given negs
And as said, posting here is not communicating with eBay
There is not warranty since you did not buy from an authorised seller/re-seller
Plus the seller is registered in Hong Kong
Other members have nothing to do with the transaction
You point out you have been a loyal member for 20 years, so you should at least know the basic eBay policies
eBay are not looking into it, you are WAY out of time for that

You have 180 days if you paid by PayPal, to lodge a claim via their website

Hi All,
As this was my first and this will be my last post, I apologise to the members I seemed to have offended without intention. I wrongly assumed that e-bay monitored this site and as I had tried to find a contact site for months , I thought that they would read this. I copied and pasted my last email to ebay which I now know it was incorrect to post on this site, but I don't think it was fair to criticize me and put me down. This is why I normally don't look at these sites. Keyboard warriors. But a big shoutout to springzone, who offered help and information to me regarding my issue, to the rest don't even bother to reply as I will not be on this site again,

No offence and no 'keyboard warriors'
You were not criticized, nor put down
Unlike yourself who called other members names
You had factual replies
There is no warranty, the seller is indeed in Hong Kong
You mentioned how long you have been a member
There is nothing for eBay to investigate months later than the MBG covers
If you do not want others to reply, self report to a mod and ask them to lock the thread
Whilst you might not be interested in hearing how refunds/warranties/etc work, other may want to be informed. Especially if it stops them from buying from dodgy sellers in the first place
