If I bought a few items that are in my shopping cart from same seller, and then request total from the seller, am I then, committed to buy?

Yes.

Before you click the Request Total button a message comes up to say that once you click the button you have committed to purchase the items. If the seller offers combined postage discounts and you want a postage quote prior to purchase you should send a message to the seller with a list of the items and your postcode and ask for a quote.
