So I was trying buy an item and I received the above message. So I went back to the search page and clicked on a different seller with the same product to see if I could buy through them and received the same message. So I did my research and find out that it is just ebay doing some maintanence. Now I go back and open up one of the items again and it says I have purchased, pay now.
The problem I have is, it says the same on the other item as well.
What can I do apart from paying for both? I don't want to receive negative feedback.

As a buyer you cannot get negative fb, just so you know.
Message one of the sellers and tell them you purchased by mistake.
Make sure you go through the 'other' button or the seller may get a
defect when it's not their fault.
They should then be able to issue you with a mutual cancellation request.
It's all good - don't panic
