This is a scam? I find the price very low. Seller is not communicating. Would you bought? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-1080P-5000lumens-Android4-4-Full-HD-LED-Smart-Wifi-3D-Home-Theater-Pr...

As predicted, the bad feedback has started for the scam seller. A lowish feedback buyer left a false positive and a low feedback buyer (7) left a negative. Sadly, that low feedback buyer probably doesn't know they can get a refund.

maybe these days , buyers read a lot of the ebay adds stating money back who knows.
but nothing can ever stop scammers, maybe to a point.

Newbies and gullible members in general don't know how to get their money back,(that's why they are the
scammers target).
Off course the scammers can be stopped,(these listings were reported when they were still "live" listings).
If they had been removed from the site then they would've been stopped.
They should've been removed from the site and the buyers should've been refunded,(because they went
through to completed means that everyone pays,eg: the buyer,Paypal and eBay through members not
buying again).
You only have to see that a lot of buyers don't leave feedback as they are still waiting for the item they
bought at that unbelievable price,

The negatives are starting by the looks of things.
It's just shocking that some sellers can get away with this by flooding their first listings with such items, thereby no time to see any proper feedback.
But a lesson for all ..... if it looks too good to be true .... it probably is.

The scammer has listed 3 new fraudulent listings. Same type of items. Only a few have been sold at this point, but I expect that to skyrocket by morning. It's tempting to buy them all and then not pay. Teach the scammer a lesson. Scam the scammer if you will. I have an unused account that will probably never be used, so wouldn't matter if it got 300+ UPI's.

Thanks Tippy,
I've just sent a scathing Email via H & C to try and find out why this is now getting out of control,(to not remove
the scam listings is bad,but to allow them to re-list is ludicrous),
Just be careful about becoming involved with the scammer as some of the scammers do it to gain information so
that they can send phishing Emails,(it's a two pronged attack).
They believe anyone that's gullible enough to fall for these items will also fall for a phishing Email,(which can
reap bigger benefits for them),
The other scammer that I reported last week has had their items go through to completed as well,(so it's
starting to become a problem).
Between the two of them they've "sold" over 600 scam listings.
Another scammer that was reported two days ago had all their listings removed,(so why remove one and
not the others?)

Tazz, is there any use in reporting these ongoing shenanigans to police, or the ACCC or Fair Trade NSW? I say NSW because I think ebay runs in Australia under NSW jurisdiction... is that true?
*dons tin foil hat* The lazy conspiracy theorist in me wonders if the new FTA is drawing them out of the woodwork???
Well, I admire your work

Australian authorities have no "control" over these type of scams as the scammers are based in overseas
countries.
That's why reports can take a bit of time to be actioned,(as reports are sent to those countries to be actioned).
If you have time, this explains a bit about eBay's legal "obligations" to the law,(and suggestions on how it could
be made safer?):

It's getting closer to Christmas and the scammers believe it's the best time for them as there are more
people looking for cheap items at unbelievable prices,(scams always seem to get worse at this time of year),
Well the scammers believe they are getting money for free,(so they consider that free trade),
