I am wanting to put in a bid for these coins however when I looked at the bid history it seems a little suspect to me.
Can a few people with a lot more experiance look at it and tell me what you think?

Just to expand I have looked at a lot of his Auctions and they all have bids only by private bidders?
What do you all think? I want the coins but it looks like they are being pushed up by dummy biding. What should I do about it if?
And i guess is there any point?
Will anything be done about it?
I hate dishonesty but I hate people over reacting about things they shouldn't.

The seller states in their auctions that all id's will be kept private. It's not uncommon with these types of items.

some buyers will not bid or buy on these types of listings because they think it is dodgy.
Others will only buy from these types of listings becsue they don't want others to know what they buy OR they have security concerns due to the nature of their purchases (pricey collectables).
I have used this format before and some buyers actually request that I not leave feedback as savvy eBayers can track listings, sales and feedback to work out who bought that item they missed out on. They also do not leave me feedback, which is okay - I'd rather they buy and not leave feedback than not buy.
Golden rule though - if you suspect that a paricular listing is suss because of the bidding patterns then do not bid, if you suspect it is suss simply because of the "private-listing" format then your suspicions are probably unfounded. Trust your instincts, so long as they are based on informed knowledge.

paricular = particular

These types of sellers often re-list, so what I do is keep persevering with lower bids and if the same items keep going up to a higher level from 99 cents, then I move on. Especially when most of their other items also reach higher prices.
Besides, I simply don't like private auctions, there is no need for them.

I do not think the bidding is at all suspect and would happily bid myself.
Just a tip...I think you will find that the current bid of $181.86 is the highest...that bidder has placed high highest bid and revealed the next highest bid, but it is not a full increment above the second highest bid.
