You're making yourself look very bad on this forum.
When you write things like this:
"However, if people like this can find their way to a member to member forum, how come they cannot figure out the basic logic of contacting the seller without someone telling them that?"
Not only is it detrimental to the OP , a brand new member who may have read it, other new members may fear posting here.
That's something I'd hate to happen on our forums.

I have been on eBay for 25 years, I was posting/replying on these forums when dial-up internet was a thing and the iPhone was not.
I am not here to make friends nor do I seek popularity, that is not on my Maslow's hierarchy to feel good about myself, However, I am here to place my input/opinion.
Whether it be out of boredom or interest, I will read and state it how I see it or how it is.
Brand new member? How about a new ID or 2nd or 3rd one. There is no such thing as brand new members on eBay other than 18-21 yo and that demographic is more internet savvy than anyone on these boards to be coming here to ask a question that they should be asking the seller.
Here is a valuable factual observation, a majority of members that create OPs who do not reply at least once to one of the actual replies that answered their post/query have not even bothered to come back to see if anyone "helped" them.

Thank you. I thought I was requesting this from the supplier or ebay and only realised after i had sent it that i had been directed to a community forum.
Cheers

Don't worry, it is a reasonably common mistake people make.
But at least now you know we're here. It is a good place to come to ask for help or information.
I have learnt a lot from these forums.
Have you been able to find tracking details?
Just keep in mind that if your item does not arrive by the due date range, you can (and should) open an ebay claim for an item not received and follow it up. Make sure to do it within 30 days though.
Unless a seller can provide a tracking number to ebay and proof of delivery, you should then be able to get a refund.
