hiya folks...
I bought and paid for two items from the same seller. We agreed on combined postage before any bids.
The seller took 4 days to send me the invoice, which i had to email him and ask.....
(postage would have been $30, but he only charged me $27) (still not cheap by anyones wallet...)
Then about 5 days after that i emailed him again and asked if he had posted it yet... then he replied "yes"
I waited a week, no parcel.
So on Tuesday this week, I tried to open a INR but ebay said to wait until 10/10/15... so i emailed seller and told him. He then gave me a tracking number and said that his PO said it should have only taken a couple of days.
I have waited until today. Still no item. I have now put in the tracking number and it says delivered!
Arrgghhh but i dont have any parcle.
I work away, and i dont get home most days until after 6pm.
I have not had anything on my front veranda nor have i been carded to collect a parcel from the after hours at the PO.
I live in a really good area where folk wouldnt just steal it from my veranda if it was left there....
I emailed the seller again.....
Im not sure what to do now. If i open a INR, and seller prooves it was posted with tracking number, wont that mean I wont win?
All up, im out almost $60.
But then at the same time... its unfair on him too.... Im lost about what my next step is now and your help would be most welcomed.
Thanx Folks... TIA
xx Jane

Also ask your neighbours because sometimes the delivery drivers have the incorrect address on their delivery sheet and give it to a neighbour.

already done that. They havent seen anything either.
It says it was delivered 2 wks ago... im pretty sure its not turning up now!
If it was still at the PO, wouldnt they have attempted to re-deliver it? or at the very least, send it back to the seller??

Ask your post office if they have it because sometimes also if the driver can't leave it they then drop it off at the post office and funly enough is that even spelt correctly, they mark it as delivered and then the post office issue another collection card after 2 weeks.
Return to sender can only be done if there is a return address on the parcel.

Righto... thanx
I will have to phone them from work, because i dont finish work until A/H and i work approx 60kms away from my home town each day.
I'll phone on Monday and take it from there......
Cheers 🙂
Thank you

Just dealt with this very same thing. My buyer said they didn't receive, tracking said it was delievered.
Usually the buyer has to contact Aust Post but l went to the online portal and put in a complaint.
Next morning, a Aus Post rep rang me to say they were looking into it. He rang again that night to say they were contacting the driver who did the delivery. Next morning he rang again to say driver put the parcel in the meter box.
Buyer didn't look there and there was no card left either. Talk about 'hunt the parcel'.
Moral of the story - get onto it soon while the delievery is still fresh in the mind of the postie.

If you open an INR dispute through ebay the seller will be asked to provide proof of posting to the address provided on your payment.
Tracking alone, which shows delivery, does not necessarily cover a seller if a buyer claims INR

gawd... the meter box? LOL
Im pretty sure my parcel would be too big for my meter box, and anyway, my meter box is not in sight from the front yard. BUT.. i will check LOL...
brb....
Nope, not there either.....
I bought 2 large wooden masks. Sent combined post, it would have to be a very big box, or even a very large padded bag.
I have emailed the seller to ask if they send it ebay click and send or whether he addressed it himslef, but i havent heard back yet.
I feel sorry that this has happened, but at the same time, i dont want to be out of pocket either......

Check if your local post office is open on a Saturday; so many are now.

I don't know what may happen with ebay, suspect that as long as tracking shows delivery to your suburb you will lose. Theoretically the same applies with a Paypal dispute however I did get my money back after losing a case which had tracking by calling Paypal and telling them I was prepared to provide a Stat Dec to say I had not received the goods and if needed would make a police report stating that the goods must have been stolen. Paypal paid up but I don't know if they made the seller cover it or not.

PJ - I have this exact situation at the moment - tracking is showing delivered and buyer is claiming INR. I did offer to try and sort it out for them but they chose instead to go down the ebay dispute process and have asked ebay to make a final decision.
This is from the email I got from ebay last night:-
I understand that the item was not received according to the buyer even when the tracking says so. I'd like to give you the chance to provide us with the detailed photos showing proof of shipping (e.g. a receipt or any type of documentation that will clearly show proof of sending the item to the buyer’s address on the View Order Details with the postal carrier's header). I have placed the case on hold for 3 days so you will have an ample time to send us photos.
