Technically I didn't order from ebay, but you guys are probably the most knowledgeable about the situation. Anyway, I ordered some stuff from a well-known website that maybe you can Catch sometime. One parcel was sent directly from them and one sent from elsewhere, both had the exact same address on the order.
I got the first parcel just fine, sent through Australia Post had to sign for it. The second one however, I never got and when I checked the tracking it showed 'delivered' even though I hadn't received it and had been in the office all day. I checked with AP customer support who have said that the item was signed for by a name I don't recognise - it's not me and there's no one with the initial or the surname given in this office, so my question is what do I do from here? Do AP only have to get any signature and then bad luck if it's not you? Or can I query them handing the parcel over to someone who isn't me if I haven't received it?

Do you have it in writing that AP has lost the parcel?
If you do I would open a dispute in paypal for item not received and provide a copy of the AP admission.
That may prompt the seller to be more helpful when they realise they may lose the money.
You still may have a fight on your hands though as the seller will try to prove that the item has been delivered. It all hinges on convincing paypal to accept your proof that the item has been lost by AP.
Good luck.

Excellent suggestion.
That's what I'd do. Especially when AP claim only the buyer can pursue an alleged delivery after AP show it is delivered.

Yes, I have submitted a complaint to them this afternoon. I'll call PayPal tomorrow too.
