UK buyer wanting postage to AU

Hi - I'm an ebayer iwth a UK ID

I am trying to buy for a friend in AU and want postage to AU. But the system won't let me buy because my ID is a UK one and it assumes I want postage to the UK. There seems to be no way round this.

Tried sorting results by distance so I'd have to enter an AU zip code to try to get it to understand that the item would be sent to an AU address, but no luck.

Any suggestions please?

you may be able to email the buyers and ask if they could put your ID on their block bidder exemption list

however, sellers who dont post to UK sometimes have all o/seas emails blocked too.

only way would be for your friend in au to bid for you

Just go to your account and add your friends address to your own.

Then select that address as your primary address for shipping.

The system will allow bids, and purchases and supply you with the correct postage amount for the AU delivery at the checkout

Go into your My Ebay-Account-Addresses

Put your friends name & address in there & make Primary

that SHOULD work but if not,you'll need to message the Australian seller re bidding or buying.

You'll also still have to have your friends name & address in Addresses so when you go through ebay checkout,you can choose THEIR address & not YOUR address in UK.
