Unresponsive seller till now.

I ordered an item on 10th September,paid, then waited for shipping to be done(it wasnt) Its from USA. Sent seller 2 emails about shipping it since then but no response and thought I would request a refund through Paypal. Just got message from seller saying please give me 3-5 days to post this.(I thought he must have gone away or something) Now what do I do. Dont want to cancel request for refund in case it goes pear shaped and more hiccups AS I cannot ask for request for another refund. Cancel the refund request now(I should really)and trust the seller he will send item without any more delays.

I have cancelled the refund request I don't think the seller would be keen on posting it otherwise.

If it is the Kaytee Pet Treats you only bought them on the afternoon of the 11th and the seller has FIVE I repeat FIVE business days handling time.   I am surprised that you were even able to open a dispute and disgusted to think that you would think it was OK to do so before the handling time is up.

my goodness Michelle you need to stop this. Stop buying overseas if you can't wait a decent time for your orders. I wait for a whole month sometimes 6 weeks for some of my purchases.

Don't be so impatient. To have opened a dispute this early is utterly ridiculous. A good week before you get the item you ordered, delivered. If you were that concerned ring the seller and talk to them directly.

Michelle:  It may or may not be pet treats you purchased, but it if is, you can find some very exclusive, Australian-made pet products right here in Australia.  Many times lately I have come across a local market selling all sorts of pet treats (not just for dogs/cats, but rodents also) ...... and I think of you .... LOL.  I am sure you could find similar items near you, OR online.

Depending on the particular pet you have, there is probably an online forum or association where you would be able to find good information and alternative food sources without trying to import pet food without customs clearance.

Many of the major pet food distributors ship Australia-wide.  Also, if you phoned or emailed them, they may even be able to source the particular item you are looking for OR a similar item.

You may have already considered this anyway, but it would be helpful to consider it again, to reduce your anxiety AND reduce the frustration of many who provide advice on these boards ......

she doesn't listen Cathy that is the problem. She has been told she can get the same items or very similar in australia but I guess she doesn't want to pay a bit more for them so instead purchases overseas.

By the way the seller has offered me a refund and if I decline said item will be posted in 3-5 days. That was yesterday. Bit odd seeing as I had paid on the 10th Sep. No sign yet of it being shipped as yet.
