I ordered an item on 10th September, paid, then waited for shipping to be done(it wasnt) Its from USA. Sent seller 2 emails about shipping it since then but no response and thought I would request a refund through Paypal. Just got message from seller saying please give me 3-5 days to post this.(I thought he must have gone away or something) Now what do I do. Dont want to cancel request for refund in case it goes pear shaped and more hiccups AS I cannot ask for request for another refund. Cancel the refund request now(I should really)and trust the seller he will send item without any more delays.
michelle, in another thread you questioned why sellers might put you on their blocked list. You cited your feedback which shows that you are a good buyer.
What I am left wondering following this latest 'drama' you post about is this . . . how many transactions have you had that have resulted in either you or the sellers instigating a cancellation and this not resulting in feedback either way? I guess the plain English version of this question is does your feedback look good because it is skewed by voided transactions?
I mean, you ordered this on the 10th, and depending on the time of day you bought it it may have been past post closing time for your seller in the USA. A day later it becomes the weekend, and then Tuesday here might only be TWO business days since your order, and then you make a PayPal claim two days later because you haven't received a reply from the seller! Good grief, and you question why sellers that read about your exploits would block you? Again, good grief!
You have plenty of time to make a PayPal claim and I will leave you with this advice . . . . . If your seller does not reply after two weeks then send them one last message telling them that at week three you will be making a claim for refund. If your seller doesn't provide a tracking number in that time then you can start to worry. At week three, if they do not reply to your week two message, make a claim.
michelle, you posted in threads earlier this year that you moved residence. Give your sellers a break, they too have lives outside of eBay and might not be in a position to respond to 'needy' buyers who relentlessly send emails about a sale that only happened days before.

Certainly appears that way from your posting of problems frequency.
Today is the 17th. ONE WHOLE WEEK. And the US is up to 16 hours behind us, so your purchase was probably in the middle of the night to start.
With your amount of issues with overseas purchases, and the amount of advice you previously been given, YOU should be the resident expert, not the one asking slightly different variants of the same question over and over and over again.
Plus - you're not going to take any advice that doesn't fit what you intend to do, so why ask?

michelle,
your questions here on the boards are posted because you enjoy wrting them, maybe as you don't have anything better to do with your time. (Just guessing here, but all the signs are there)
Mainly as you didn't need anyone's advice to decide to open a case after only 7 days, so that little problem is all yours now.
Not that you take any advice when the posters put in their time to help you, anyway.
But of course, you'll continue posting just for the sake of it - and you'd would have heard this little adage:
"We would love you to stay but you'd be only in the way"

Now what do you do? You email the seller and apologise, then cancel the PayPal refund request. If that ends up going pearshaped you put the lost amount of $ down to learning a lesson about not being a needy impatient online buyer.
Sorry if this sounds harsh or blunt . . . . but you did ask and I replied in prompt time! Didn't want to keep you waiting.

Yep, she was going to learn patience and not have panic attacks. Pigs fly too.
