You have to be a business that is registered to collect GST, and even then it only applies to the GST on eBay selling fees, it does not apply to the GST charged on purchases, no matter what (I have my ABN registered with eBay, and am also registered to collect GST on my sales, I still have to pay the GST on my purchases on eBay if they are coming from overseas).
I presume you mean you're trying to enter your cousin's ABN in an attempt to avoid paying tax?
Bad idea, even if it would work, cos tax fraud etc.

I am getting the same error and plan on contacting ebay support later about it.
I Googled the error and it seems common 😞
At least I can still claim back that GST charged in the meantime as credits.
BTW everyone else: "cusines" = "business"

If you are a GST registered seller and are trying to provide the ABN to eBay so that the selling fees are GST-free, make sure your eBay account is upgraded to a business account first (note, this change is irreversible).

(Just a minor sidenote, I lean more towards "cusines" being a phonetic, apostrophe-less, spelling of "cousin's", since it makes more sense than to say "business' ABN").

Oh, I thought cusine was a cousin that tasted good when you ate them.
On second thoughts, it may have something to do with cooking the books.

I was leaning that way, but on qwerty c instead of b is a big miss.

You are registered in the USA......Australian GST is not applicable to you as it will be charged by ebay to the Australian buyers.
