What's it going to take to get scam listings removed?

What is it going to take to get this site to be pro-active and remove scammers?

There are thousands of members being ripped of each week,(if they simply gave up as these are listed in

categories without PP protection).

PP would be making a profit if they removed the money from the scammers accounts and then didn't release it

to the buyers,(after all there is no PP protection in Go-carts or Pocket Bikes).

With just 4 scammers below "selling" over 1500 items it could mean some of those and others that they tell

might never buy here again).

Completed "sales" over $5,000 : 251764719472  -   180 items "sold"

Over $11,000 with 15 items and growing  : 281541602952 plus $2,500 on one item in completed  - over

400 "sold"

Some of the ones below have been reported since the 7th of this month and the listings are still sitting there

in completed,stubborn_smiley_by_mirz123-d4bt0te_zps12f1a5a3.gif

8 items,over $7,000 and growing : 281541489835 - over 200 sold

Over $5,000 in completed  : 131384072546

Over $14,000 in completed  : 331418415740 - 860 "sold"

Over $3,000 in completed : 171595679657

Over $5,000 in various scam items :221635381623

Over $3,000 "sold" and over $1,000 in completed from as far back as the 7th,(reported on a regular basis since

then).

The same with this one : 321603982273  , over $6,000 sold  in completed.

This one is still up as well, over $20,000 in completed : 141488104893  , they now have over 40,(only 25 count

as there must be multi buyers).

A new one in go-karts with 13 items :  141488104893 ,gone through to completed and over 476 items "sold" for

over $8,000

New one in pocket bikes with 5 items : 371223634693 , none sold yet,but they could end ripping of members

for $1000's

More reported listings gone, so they mustn't have anything better to do today. At least they are taking notice.......today.

I started using a different way of reporting by reporting the members,(not the listing).

That way they'll look at each scammer and the listed items,(I included two in each report).

I've tried it before but it was a different "process" before,(I used to get the automated generic Emails which went

nowhere).

It seems to be working this time as I received 4 Emails in regards to the scammers I reported,(all of them where

reported yesterday and they where more positive in nature).

It looks to be working as they are removing some of the scammers, good.gif

So it would be good if this work but it does make the report link even more useless.

This could be part of why the report button doesn't work-

That's what  happened when they shut down the Canadian Trust & Safety centre in Canada,(scam listings used to

be removed within hours of being reported).

Afterwards they would take days, weeks and some where never removed,(which has been the case ever since).

They have a habit of trying to put the "blame" on users as they should be reporting the scam listings,(they then

make it pointless in doing so as they have no idea why scam listings are reported).

Another new one in Go-carts,(19 scam items with well over $1000 in "sales" already)  :121530927208

Looks like the item attached to that latest number has been removed as I got a not found for it.

Everything I reported yesterday has gone except 3 items. 151515583853 had 8 similar listings in go karts which were all removed, but for some reason they left this one.

These 2 are in pocket bikes, 400833081219 and they don't want to remove them either for some reason. The seller has 21,115 feedback, 98.8% and 200 negs in the last year for fake or poor quality items.

They all should've been removed by now,stubborn_smiley_by_mirz123-d4bt0te_zps12f1a5a3.gif

It's always being diffucult for them to take action on these types of account,(in the eyes of eBay they don't
see anything wrong as they are still within their parameters,so wont remove them).

Check the description out on this fake item in pocket bikes (if you can make sense of it LOL)! Basically, if you don't give them 5 star feedback immediately after purchase, they won't send the item!!! I think that's what I read it as anyway. 181627198614

Another new addition to poket bikes. 171622072687

Both of them only have 1 listing at the moment......

eBay need to allocate more resources for this.

They also need subject matter experts (in-house or external).

For example, 390751445361 are fake 2N53 point contact (ie. historic) transistors for $1000. They need someone that knows the alpha gain characteristics of PCT and its relationship to beta gain. The beta gain and leakage figures presented are consistent only with alloy-type BJT (bipolar junction transistors), certainly not PCT. The vendor has been made aware of this (and how to test PCT very simply).

Joe.
