Hi,
I live in Melbourne and I am a frequent ebayer - and my main problem is getting things delivered to my door. How annoying is it when you get home from work and you find a slip in your mailbox saying "pickup from local post office" or "pickup from local collection centre". Those places are usually only open from 9-5 Mon-Fri - the exact times I work! I end up having to take time off work just to collect my item from the post office or collection centre.
There must be an easier way? Any ideas out there? I once heard of local ebay pick-up centres, which charge 1 receive and store your goods and who are open till late most nights of the week - anyone heard of this?
Thanks
Dave.

zanadoo - reminds me of how they opened a so called 'business' centre near me yet it was smaller than the other post
office near by & had only 3 people on the counter, if you were lucky, usually it was 2. Then if i had the misfortune of
them carding my parcel to be collected from there i had to wait behind all the people collecting parcels carded to
their po boxes. You shoulda seen the crowd when collecting Commonwealth Games tickets in 2006 because they
had to be signed for!
That centre has now closed the retail part & has gone back to being a sorting place like before.

Ahhh yes....the AP business centre.
I once saw some items in an AP Christmas catalogue that I thought might make good presents, plus there was a pack of Christmas cards that looked really nice. Not wanting to pay for delivery I searched the AP website for branches that sold the catalogue items. That took a while because as anyone knows who've tried to find stuff on the AP website, it can send you around in circles. But I digress.....
Anyway the site finally came up with their local 'business centre' supposedly with the full range of products. It was the only place in my area. I drove out there and discovered that not only did they sell hardly anything in the catalogue, the staff had no idea what I was talking about, and looked through my copy of the catalogue as though they'd just seen it for the first time. I'm guessing they never sold the things I was interested in. The next Chrstmas it was the same story.
Now, every Christmas I glance at the AP catalogue....and then I throw it in the bin.
