Sorry I just want to vent. This is my latest  bad ebay experience and I want to share it with you all...after all misery loves company..

To be objective I'll copy and paste the item description and out correspondence.....now if you read the description, it seems that the items is all good and usable, except that for the word ' (not supplied)' somewhere in the description....this items is basically useless without it...the seller has definitely intended to deceive any buyer and it did got me...lessons learned.

Here's that more interesting part...our sms correspondence...read on and decide for yourself...I would like to empasize on my latest message to the seller....

This was never on offer as being included or advertised, only the capsule. I gave you all I had for $20 total. I have done all I could to describe it and explain what you purchased. J???

This is not true, she did not say anything about a missing part when I picked it up but I was polite)

Its not logical for me to buy this, drive 40Ks, then spend another $50. I can rent a new one next door for $60. The only thing I can really, do is give you a bad review.

It makes no mention of attachment straps, fitting instructions etc as this should be done professionally for first timers or by those who already know. If purchasing a new capsule straps are extra also as each car differs and is NOT included in the original purchase. It made no mention because there were no straps included or for sale. An informed and aware buyer would have asked this question or made themselves aware of what it was that they were purchasing prior by pricing them new in the shops prior to the purchase. You made no mention of withdrawing your bid during the 5 days. If more information was wanted you could have asked or more over close to you, your neighbour as you make mention? You agreed to pick up and did not ask any questions related, the cost to you of pick up I have no control over nor where you choose to start your journey from. $60/wk rental x 3 months minimum ($960) is more expensive than $20 + possibly $50 ??? for the same period and is a bargain in anyone's eyes. My price was very cheap any way you look at it- 4 cups of coffee!. There were other capsules, exactly the same go for much more, the day earlier (as you would have been aware) and able to purchase also. You chose to purchase, accepted the item after viewing it in person with your partner, had time and opportunity to ask any questions, shown all the parts inclusive of the attachment buckle with the capsule removed from its protective case to explain it and show how to get the capsule back in the casing in person. You handed me payment and was pleased with the purchase. I have done all I could. Whilst you may or may not have found a cheaper alternative after this point respectfully I can not be held accountable for in a process you ultimately controlled at every point.

for $20 dollars, but are farther to drive. When we spoke, you did not mention that I have to get a strap. If you were truly a good seller who highlights very important information such as a missing strap, you would have told me when I picked up.

Seller: 2013-09-02 11:41 I advertised what was for sale. You did not question it at any time. I did tell you you needed another strap to secure it as each car is different so the connectors are too. I pulled it out of the capsule fitting, showed you the red button and mentioned it was just like a seatbelt connector and demonstrated that is was fully functional and operational. You did not question it again. I did NOT simply hand it over and grab the money and have done everything possible to ensure its reuse. I have been watching what has sold and have saved these records so I know what I sold for was cheap, that is just how it goes. I can not be held accountable for your decision processes or choice to travel etc I go for ease and convenience, ask questions and know exactly what I am buying before. We are talking by your calculations $3.33 per month for six months.

(Its my fault I trusted her, my point is that important information like the item is not usable should be highlighted.) by this time I got tired of her lying and this is my last text message to her....

Me: 2013-09-02 12:01 Lets make it clear, you never mentioned a missing part when I picked it up. You never said that I have to get a strap. To me that is a very important imformation. You clearly tried to hide that fact in your product description. When we spoke, your choice of words are clearly to not give any hint that the product is not in a usable state and you know it. This is not about the $20 anymore, its about the way you conducted this sale. Yes, there was a 'not included' item in your description but it done in deceitful way. I will get a snapshot of your product description and this text conversation, to be included in the seller review and let your future buyers decide.

There is also the bit about how if you pick up you inspect BEFORE handing over the $$.

You inspected the item, found it as described, as you must have done otherwise you would not have paid the money, so I fail to understand your issue.

I could make mention of scammers who try to renege on items they have bought on pick up, those who will try to back out of a purchase because they have changed their mind and want an excuse, but I will refrain because that undoubtedly wouldn't apply to you.

You think from an experienced seller's point of view, which I respect.  When I picked up the item, she knows I have not much experience with the baby seats and should have at least say, 'you sure your ok, it has no strap, you'll have to get one to use it'. Not one hint. She even have a chit chat with my wife and she knows we'll need the baby capsule in a couple of days. Where is the humanity ?

I am sure it is no what you want to hear but the seller is in the right here....you have made a complete fool of yourself.  

The seller has stated that the anchor strap is not included in the sale as it is different for each vehicle.  If it had to be bought as an extra with the original capsule, why would you think that it would be included with a second hand item.

The feedback you left is a disgrace....the capsule is not unusable.  You just need to buy the correct strap for your car, which was stated in the listing.

I am sure you will find yourself on a lot of blocked bidders list after this little effort and hopefully the seller will be able to have that feedback removed.

The anchor strap is standard for all vehicles, she is not telling the truth in her text. When an item is not included in a sale why would you give the description the put (not included) at the end. Because if I was selling I would probably say "Strap is not included". If you were face to face with a buyer, is it too hard to say that "You have to get the strap and you connect it here.". She carefully chose her words when I spoke to her, all she said was this part clicks in like a seat belt. Let me ask you this, would you explain it like she did if you were the seller ?

Not having any experience of baby capsules I find the description quite good and it is very obvious that the strap is not included....the listing states it is not included.

I'm not a seller,I'm a buyer, and looking at the price of baby capsules how could you expect all the bells and whistles for $20?

As a buyer it is in your own interests to read everything twice to make sure you understand exactly what you are buying. I understand that you are frustrated and disappointed but you have learnt your first ebay lesson. Sorry, but the seller did the right thing in the listing
