I bought a dress specifically because it was advertised as being made of cotton. When it arrived I could see it definitely wasn't cotton but I still like it and it was a great price. I contacted the seller and told them I was disappointed and asked that they update their listings to tell the truth. They said they would pass the suggestion on but they didn't apologise or admit that they had a misleading item description. What kind of feedback should I leave? Do I mention in the feedback that it's not cotton?

Just to be clear - does the label specifically say another material?

That is a strange comment. Is it some kind of big business? If so, they need to get their facts right in the ads. I don't like the way they fobbed off any sense of responsibility or that it had anything to do with them.
You mentioned you can see it is not cotton. But there should be a tag somewhere inside the dress that will let you know exactly what it is made of.
I take it that because you still like the fress & it was a good price that you want to keep it.
Personally, I would ding their stars down to a 1 star for item description, if you are sure it is not cotton.
I would ding their stars for communication as they didn't have a 'problem solver' attitude, acted like an underling.
I would definitely mention in feedback that it was advertised as cotton but was not. I would consider a neutral.
PS The whole issue really does revolve around whether in fact the item is cotton or not, but I would expect if you were mistaken about saying it is something else, a seller who advertised it as cotton would correct you.
