What to do next?

Good morning everyone and hope everyone has a great week so far.

I haven't posted on these boards for such a long time, I feel 'new' all over again.  So it's a quick question, I sort of think I know what avenue I should take but thought I'd gather a few suggestions.

I bought a set of DVDs' for my son on the 7 November 2013 from Malaysia (Smiley Frustrated yes I know I did warn my son that I hadn't bought anything from that country before and was unsure on it's postage delays), my son however, had been searching for these particular DVD's everywhere and the only copies he could find were from there.

I chose the seller that seemed to have the 'best' feedback ratings.  It's postage stated arrival should be anywhere from 6 - 16 days.  It is now the 30 November and I have contacted the seller, who was quite prompt in their reply that there had been a few public holidays over their way and this may have held up postage.  However, on checking the mail company's tracking service it said the item had not been dispatched till the 20 November.  That's fine, but it's now 10 days after and still nothing.  I have again today contacted to see how we can resolve this issue.

Should I just go ahead and submit a Paypal claim or should I wait to see what the seller has to say?  Thanks everyone ๐Ÿ™‚

I'd rather be hated for who/what I am rather than be loved for what I'm not.

You.ve probably got a few days up your sleeve, so you can afford to wait for a reply, but basically, no matter what the seller says, you will need to lodge a paypal claim before it gets to 45 days after the sale. I would personally hold off doing that, if I could, for a few more days-perhaps till 7th Dec. But despite public holidays, the seller could have posted it before 20th Nov. They are leaving themselves wide open for complaints and low ratings, I would have thought. Whatever you do though, don't let the seller persuade you to let the 45 days pass by without lodging a claim if you don't have the item.

Good luck.
