I purchased A fridge freezer from an ebay seller unfortunately it started playing up on 1 side of the unit and not working after contacting the seller by email numerous times with no response and also by phone to be referred back to Ebay's email I have contacted the ACCC and on there advise have sent a letter of demand for the full refund of moneys paid.
How and why are these sellers alowed to get away with shonky selling there warranty is hardly worth the paper it is written on.

Is that the fridge freezer purchased from a seller whose ID starts with dream?
If so, then you are having problems with one of the most complained about sellers on ebay.
Good Luck!

Companies like this one get away with selling faulty products because buyers let them.
Send a registered letter outlining all faults, and the resolution you feel is fair. (Replacement or refund) Give them a deadline to respond. (7/14 days)
If you don't hear anything, file a case in VCAT or QCAT or small claims in your state (don't know what they are all called)
You'll pay a small fee and have to wait. But you will get your money back if you pursue it. Otherwise, forget it. Unless you are determined, you might as well just kiss your money goodbye because this company RELY on your inaction.

Please understand that ebay is just a selling platform, like a newspaper or Trading Post or Gumtree, it can't police every transaction when there are millions of them around the world every day.
A quick google search of the ebay seller would have given you the information you needed. When making a large purchase it's always worth a quick check.
In no way is this your fault but just as a general rule stuff that can break down (electrical items, garden tools, computers, phones etc) should ONLY be bought at a proper store with a proper warranty. The lure of the cheap price isn't worth much as you have now found!
Good luck with your efforts going forward for recompense.
