When refunded - the GST paid on the transaction not being refunded.

Is anyone else having an issue when you are refunded for items NAD. 

Ebay stepped in on a recent purchase and have refunded the purchase amount but not the GST (was an OS purchase direct with seller no GSP involved).   I have noticed this has happened a couple of times and have let it be as sometimes it is not worth the effort.

Am I right in assuming the GST should also be refunded through Ebay ?

Welcome to the boards Morag.

Being new you have obviously not yet read anything about posting on the boards.

You are not contacting ebay here....the boards are run by volunteer members and are not read by ebay at all.

If you have retracted a bid you should be thanking the seller, not ebay.  It is the seller who you have inconvenienced.

Also, your post has nothing to do with the topic of this thread.

In future you should start a new thread unless there is a current thread that covers your question.

I'm having the same issue.

Money was directly paid on a refund from an overseas seller, but not the GST.

Through Ebay help messaging, they eventually provided the transaction number for the GST refund and advised it would take 24-48 hours.

A week later, they told me to get in touch with Paypal.

Paypal (through message chat as they never answer their help phone) constanly avoid answering directly to the issue in their responses, probabaly in the hope I'll either go away, or the next monkey writing a response can run with it.

To deal with all this rubbish over $3.50 - what a joke.
