Why are my reviews not being published?

Why are my product reviews being ignored and not published by eBay?

I have published several reviews in the past with no problems but lately, eBay seems to be taking exception to "bad language" even though there is none in the text. A I issue? I am publishing honest and I think objective reviews in order to help other users make informed choices. I am reviewing the actual products that I have purchased and not the vendor, which I assume would be a separate issue.

What is going on?

You say that you are being told by Ebay that there is bad language in the reviews, but that there is actually none. There have been reports of bots pouncing on sentences where a banned word is within another word, or where the end part of one word and the beginning of another contain a banned word even though there is a gap between them.

I have to assume from your post that this is what is happening, but someone else may pop in with a different answer.

I think Maranock is probably correct. Look closely at the start and end of all the words. For example "buyers expect.....", the bots would see that as one word and if it was a banned word, you would be told it's a profanity.

Are you submitting your reviews while on the UK eBay or OZ eBay?

I agree with the comments above, the bots don't seem to take spaces into account a lot of the time

Say I wrote a review for an iron and said

It's called an Easy Glide but it is hard to push it

The bots are only going to 'look' at the last two letters of push and then it and decide I am swearing

Super Glide's are even harder to push bear.........................but it is a Milwaukee iron..................
