Why are some US sellers allowed to have FEEDBACK removed and CASES closed for faulty products

Why are some sellers, allowed to have negative feedback "removed", and "all cases closed", within hours of a problem arising while the buyer, is left with a totally disappointing item? I bought from an American seller recently, a doll that was "newly de-boxed" and had Afro styled hair. The whole object was the amazing hair. Of course there were no pictures in profile and when my doll arrived- after paying $22Au to get it here on top of the  price of $15, so nearly $40 all up-the hair was FLAT AS A TACK, no proper Afro at all?  I barely read a message from the seller as my case was closed within hours of starting it.  The seller's only come back was "The dolls are all flattened hair in the box"..but the seller had REMOVED them. They were listed as "newly de-boxed".  Every doll i have de-boxed, with an Afro, had a lovely FULL AFRO, but somehow ebay was convinced that "all Afro dolls have FLAT hair in the box" as a manufacturer's fault?

What added insult to injury, was the seller was allowed to remove my negative feedback, also the same day.  See the pictures below first of the doll i received: blonde Afro, then secondly the pink haired Afro drummer, in perfect condition. I dont believe you can blame Mattel for a manufacturer's fault in the first doll.  the seller clearly wanted to get rid of a terrible doll, by omitting the profile pictures then managed to use nepotism, being an American seller, to get all feedback removed. No buyer protection at all.

Looks like an afro to me.

If eBay agreed, they would close the case in the seller's favour.

If the seller used the Global Shipping Program, they are also covered against negative feedback that in any way criticises that.

By 'some' do you mean one? Or is this a common occurrence for you?

I don't see how it could be any higher on top but it stands to reason that the back is flatter as it would be flattened by being packaged for transport..

Have you thought of using a tail comb to tease the hair out at the back?

It doesn't look like what my idea of an Afro should look like at all. It just looks like a flattened frizzy

mess. A quick glance on google shows what an Afro looks like.
