Item purchased last week, received today. Tried to leave feedback, can't do it. There's no box to leave a comment? Shouldn't the box appear under the + button? I notice another item I bought from a different seller does have the box to leave a comment, so why is it not showing here?
See screenshot.
I don't want to rate the item, that's optional anyway. I want to leave a comment about the transaction, as has been the process since I joined this site 200 years ago.
missing feedback text field

Yes I clicked on the positive box, which is why it has a slightly darker border than the other boxes.
As I mention in another post, it's only happening for this item. Another item I purchased around the same time, does not have this problem. I believe ebay are, once again, stuffing around with A/B testing, trying their best to con people into reviewing products in addition to sharing feedback about the transaction.
For something like a microphone, it would take me months of using in the field to settle on an opinion or rating I'd be comfortable sharing publicly. And if I did reach that point, ebay is not the place I'd share that opinion.

Can you post a picture of the lower half of your feedback page for your 2nd example ?
Does it have the option to "rate this item" ?
If yes, does it have 2 areas to fill in, one at the top for feedback and one underneath for a review ?
Not all products have a "rate this item" option.
When they do, like everyone else, I'm sure you write your feedback ( not a review ) in the only box showing .

Off topic a bit but just wanted to say I heartily agree with this aspect. Occasionally I am asked to write reviews for products & several have been electrical. We are given one month in which to use it and write our review. I guess the manufacturers want some quick reviews out about it, but I always feel that a proper review would be one where someone has used it for several months, given it a longer work out.
As to your present problem, if there is only one feedback box, that is where I'd give the feedback about the transaction, if I wanted to. Then after that, go back and check if it is attached to the seller's feedback. If it isn't, well, no harm done.

No, that is for your feedback comment. What part of "Share your feedback here" do you not understand?

Thanks for replying and trying to help, and to others who replied.
This topic is resolved! As others pointed out, the one box available in both items is where feedback for the seller is left. As you can see from the below side by side image, they are different layouts and labelling. Very confusing. I thought this meant one was for feedback and the other a product review.
A few months ago, we were actually forced to review products. Many complained including me. That bad experience led me to believe the issue was still happening.
Please ebay, be consistent with UX and design to avoid confusion!
