Why can't i make direct payment for bid won without going through PAYPAL.

How can ebay register a buyer whoses country is not on the list of countries that have access to PAYPAL knowing thats the only acceptable method of payment.

I will appreciate it if ebay would add nigeria or make direct widrawal from VISA CARD method acceptable so that buyers all over the world can be more appreciatev of her wonderful services.

Anything assosiated with Nigeria and getting money is a scam.

sparklz, the OP wants to make a payment, not receive one. Did you check where they are registered?

Yes but most associate Nigeria with scams.

I would certainly associate this buyer with such.

3 purchases of "brand new" smartphones from the same Hong Kong based seller for around $US60 each. I wonder whether the seller kept their money.

The reason why sellers generally insist on Paypal, beth, is that it is safe for them. Other methods are problematic. A seller can offer credit card processing if they wish, but then are liable for chargebacks if the buyer is a scammer, especially if they live in Nigeria. Nigeria doesn't have a good reputation online, so it might pay you to move to a different country if you're legit.

Because PayPal isn't the only acceptable payment method.

Just curious, though, how you managed to pay for the 3 smartphones you've purchased (and have FB for), when those sellers only offered PayPal?

I hope you return and read our comments because you are highly likely to lose your money and receive nothing if you deal with a Nigerian. Their country is a well known home of scammers.

For some reason I couldn't see all of the other posts before...... Anyway I think that maybe there is a restriction on you due to your country's bad reputation.

Maybe she is but I still suspect the problem comes from her living in Nigeria. It is the only country I block.
