PS5 presales were gone within 10 minutes, bot in Australia and other countries. And ebay empowers them by allowing the sale of pre-ordered consoles at inflated prices. It's unethical, greedy and ridiculous.
All it would take to disuade this behaviour is for ebay to impliment a period of such listings not being permitted. Instead, what you get is greedy scalping charlatans rorting a system that you've set in place and allowed to be abused. It's shameful.

Tbh I reckon ebay should implement policies allowing items to be listed at maximum 15-20% more than their Regular retail price, minus ebay fees. So as to allow for the average seller to still make a profit on his/her listing without allowing the dodgy sellers to list items 2-10 times their RRP which is what is the main problem here. Maybe allow sellers to list items at a additional 5% of its original RRP every year if the item is a collectible or is considered a rarity, to encourage people to list on ebay

You're joking... right?

TBH you really don't seem to have a grasp on reality. 5%pa? That's only inflation, taking into account fees.
Nobody is forced to pre-order, especially discretionary items. Few would consider a PS5 a must-have, even a YEAR ago. There wouldn't have been many specifically PS5 games available.

TBH we live in what is called a free market, if there are clowns out there that want to pay mega prices for something, they shouldnt be stopped. No one is forcing you to buy.
If the clowns stopped paying ridiculous prices, the scalpers would be out of business tomorrow.
There is a clown born everyday.

"Empower". Can I just say how much I DESPISE that term? It's a word thrown around regularly at my workplace, and I just want to stab someone every time I hear it. Such a cringeworthy word. UGH!
