Why is eBay sponsoring con artists and fraudsters by giving them the place to sell ordinary household cleaning products acquired from supermarkets for highly inflated prices? This is truly disappointing given people are struggling currently and many disadvantaged, aged and others who need these products are excluded because of this greed. I pity the sellers, they are truly the lower end of society with poor morals. I will never use eBay again.

Bye, you would have no idea where sellers obtain products from. Many B&M and reputable online stores now selling products that a couple of months ago they would never have dreamed of stocking, so where are they sourcing products from.
I dont really care who sells what, as long as prices remain reasonable, If I dont like the price I dont buy.

And you were appointed a morality policeman by who?
There are quite a few cleaning threads and over 40 toilet paper threads. Maybe, instead of starting yet another one to simply express your outrage (which you would only know about because you actively searched for such listings), you could have read a handful of those. That way you wouldn't have added to the number of extant threads and might even have gleaned some information.

I assure you, eBay could not care less
But since you care so much, you have obviously already reported the listing and contacted eBay to tell them what you think of them

They are not and if you had actually read their announcements instead then you would've know that.
To avoid unreasonable inflation of item prices in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we've activated some additional selling restrictions in accordance with our Price gouging policy.
Effective immediately, only a small number of approved business sellers are permitted to sell face masks, hand sanitisers, toilet paper and disinfecting wipes on eBay.com.au.
If you haven't been approved to sell these items, please don't attempt to list them. Any existing listings will be removed, and your account may be suspended if you attempt to circumvent these restrictions.
The decision to remove listings that go against our policies will be final. Our Customer Service team will not be investigating any appeals or requests to list these types of products.
We're continuing to monitor the situation across a broad range of categories and additional restrictions may be applied.
You can visit our Seller Centre to learn more about item restrictions or read through the latest COVID-19 updates for sellers.
