What annoys the hell out of me ,is when I want to buy an item on ebay, Tick the box AUSTRALIA ONLY, they are registered in China,Taiwan, and Malaysia. They say they are in Sydney Melbourne etc. I got caught once, took over 3 weeks to arrive. Check their feed back, not good, and it will give you a hint of where they are, NOT AUSTRALIA but off shore. Ebay wont do much, why, because they will miss out on revenue.

That is exactly why they don't do anything. They would lose $$
Ebay hope people won't know to look at where the seller is registered (or even if they do look and they do see horrid feedback, they buy anyway)

That's a little sceptical.
Think about it, if a seller from China sets up an account on eBay Aus and says they have stock here in Aus, how are ebay from USA going to check if they do have stock here or not. And they may carry stock here of half their items but not the other half.
You all probably know I loathe rule breakers (esp the Chinese), but many things online are simply impossible to police.
A system of warning and restrictions could be implemented for repeat offenders. But there again it is one word against another and could be misused by other competitor Asian sellers.
I think eBay are often forced to err on the side of caution, innocent until proven guilty and as I said it is not easy online to prove matters.
OP, I stay away from any seller or product that remotely looks Chinese/Taiwanese/H.K. even if stated here in Aus.
-Check feedback
-eBay ID names with AU in them
-Chinglish/Engrish anywhere
-The way photo's are presented (you get to know)

If you change your name on this ID it will show on the account for a month and I believe your current customers will be notified.
During that time when a member looks for your old ID they will automatically be directed to your new name.
Once you change your name you have to use it for 30 days before changing it again so make sure of what you want to change it to.
I would advise you to use a name that is easy to say and remember

Good idea to change it, not just because of the au, it's very difficult to remember or associate with.
I agree with lyndal, changing it to something easy or relevant to what you sell especially if you have repeat customers.
I would suggest something with stamps or collect if you are planning on selling other collectables.

In the past I have had trouble trying to find a seller I purchased from 3-5 years ago, usually because the ID name is obscure and means nothing to me.

Nothing wrong with having your ID the same as your store name.
