Why is there a time limit to submitting feedback and Paypal claims??? Email notification???

I always get suckered in by sellers who make promises to re send items that don't arrive etc...so by the time I realise it's usually too late to submit paypal claim or submit feedback...I live in a very remote part of WA and usually post takes longer than other areas (like 4 week even within Australia) so I ususally take this into consideration...I am not on Ebay all the time and very limited with time...I wonder is there an email notification I can set up to alert me to the items I have purchased to alert me to take action days prior to cut off time???

My eBay, Account tab, communication preferences, then feedback. You can have a feedback reminder email.

As for Paypal buyer protection, set up a calendar or reminder alert through your phone or tablet, or make a note in a paper diary, where you remind yourself at around 40 days.

You should contact the seller first over any issues, but also, if you start the claims process it gives you an extra 20 days of buyer protection. If you get the item, you can close the case.

To be fair here, when you pay with Paypal, you are notified you have 45 days of buyer protection to notify them of any issues...it is on your payment receipt.

It is then up to the buyer to keep track.

9 weeks...if you paid with a credit card, get onto your bank straight away and see if they can issue a chargeback.

That is an option if your Paypal protection has expired.

With eBay, your purchase history will have a note attached to items when your buyer protection window will be closing soon.

The date is supplied with a phrase along the likes of have a problem...go to the resolution centre by that date.

The OP said that they do not look at eBay very often, so I suggested they set up their own reminder.

But eBay gives you that one, to let you know to take action before it is too late.

Hello ๐Ÿ™‚

May I ask why this was eBay's fault?
