Will I receive a Paypal refund from a no longer registered user?

HI fellow eBayers

I recently purchased and item which cost me almost $300.

Item no  131321884371

The seller marked the item as posted, but no tracking number was ever recorded.

The no tracking number doesnt bother me too much as i receive lots of items that arent sent in satchels.

Today was the latest the item should have been delivered, according to eBay.

This morning I logged on to see that the seller is no longer registered and has got my money and several others as they listed a few of these items.

I feel totally ripped off and am very upset about it all.

I have made a claim through Paypal to recover my money.

Has anyone else had the same problem and moreso any problem recovering their refund through Paypal as they will be the ones to pay me and not the unregistered user.

The item number doesn't bring up any results for me. However if you have already lodged a dispute with paypal you should get you money back if the 45days haven't passed.
Have you upgraded the dispute to a claim. Also tell paypal the buyer has been deregistered.

Yep the item no just shows the usual stuff about the listing being removed.

There is no connection between a Paypal dispute and the status of the seller with ebay other than as supporting evidense if you were opening a not as described dispute. Have you escalated to a claim yet? If not do so and then unless the seller can provide valid tracking you should get your money back in about 10 days.

Im going through the same thing now, seller no longer registered, Ive been through this before and a i got a refund in full but u need to be patient

I got my refund for non-receipt of an item, though the seller was deregistered. It took 10 days and the cash was put back in my Paypal account. Very pleased with that as I wondered what the outcome would be. I've no idea why the seller went AWOL as he appeared to have a good record.

he didnt go AWOL... if a current a/c is closed down it is eBay, not the Seller closing it.

Then they closed him down while he had current transactions so why don't they reimburse buyers automatically instead of waiting to see if you want to open a case.
