Hi All,
Looking for some pointers on what to do.
I won an auction a few days ago and paid immediately. Now when I go to 'My eBay' it says eBay had removed the listing and the seller is no longer a registered user (so I can't contact them through eBay).
The seller never marked the item as sent and I paid using paypal linked to a credit card.
Should I go to the resolution centre or lodge a dispute now, or wait to see if my item arrives?
Thanks!

My opinion, for what it's worth is to lodge a dispute now.

You may still get your parcel from this seller, however given the listing has been removed and the seller has been deregistered, IMO they are two very good reasons to place your own interests above all else and open a paypal dispute straight away.
If you do open a dispute you may wish to give the seller a little time to respond before escalating..
However in this situation I personally would escalate the dispute to a claim straight away, as this will trigger the seller having to provide proof of post to paypal, which in the circumstances sounds pretty reasonable to me.

Lodge your PayPal claim straight away and put all that info into the message section. You can always cancel your claim if your package arrives. I highly doubt in this case that it will though.

I opened a dispute recently after discovering that 2 items had been removed and the seller deregistered. I fully intended to give the items a bit more time to arrive but paypal gave me no choice....as I posted the dispute I got a message that the seller could not respond at this time and the dispute automatically escalated to a claim.
I have never had this before but it is a great improvement....no waiting around to see if the seller is going to respond.

Thanks everyone here for all the advice - it's all very useful ๐
It looks like I should immediately make a claim with Paypal.

If the payment was funded with a credit card then that is where to refund will go....it takes several days to appear back in the account after paypal advises that it has been processed.
