beware of a certain hong kong seller selling all in one pond pump filter uv light. i purchased one from him and it only worked for two weeks. i contacted him and he assured me he would send me another but that as i wasnt paying for postage this time he would send it snail mail, and he requested i be patient. two months later, still no replacement and he wont answer my emails. naturally its now too late to leave him feedback or make a paypal claim and ebays answer is for me to report it to the police.... yeah like they would care! upon checking his feedback today i noticed he has a LOT of negatives for items not received. one of the pitfalls for buying from overseas i guess.

Unfortunately you've learned the hard way that the time to check a seller's feedback is before you buy and never let it go past the 45 days for opening a PayPal dispute no matter how obliging the seller sounds. If they're genuine they will understand that you've opened a dispute to protect yourself

yes i did learn the hard way. how some of these members can receive hundreds of negatives a month and still be trading is beyond comprehension!

Probably because buyers allow themselves to be taken in by promises of replacements and let the claim time go by. And don't read feedback until the stuff hits the fan.
