Help!

At ebay checkout paypal payment is automatic instead of usual sign to paypal in to verify payment details.

Have previously ensured that all boxes are unchecked so that my password is not remembered, checked out all settings on both accounts and also spoken to ebay and paypal operators numerous times, and still unable to stop payment from automatically going through.

Have also looked at system settings and deleted all previous history etc..

Yes it's new.

Because you are already signed into eBay and completing checkout to the linked PayPal account, appears site designers thought no point in signing in again and bypasses that process providing you are using eBay checkout.

I reckon they've done it so it's a bit easier for the two-year-olds to pay when they buy. Sigh...

If you go into your settings in PayPal (the little wheel at the top), then look through the options, there is one where you can until the box to stop automatic payments. Once I did that, I've had to sign in each time.

Thank you, I looked at paypal yesterday and could not find  an option to stop automatic payments.   I bought a couple of items yesterday,  wrote to the seller to ask for a combined postage invoice before I paid....she wrote back and said I had already paid by paypal!
