buyer blackout

hi* as a buyer; like everyone else, I get outbid on a lot and miss out on things.

I collect vintage glass and have the usual few Id's.

I just can't understand why eBay has block out who buys what.

I have learnt a lot from sometimes losing out.

Example I find out who outbids me and then look up

what they bought and from whom and then it puts me in touch with other sellers.

I have purchased a lot of glass doing this, yeah... sure its nosey but the benefits are great

Privacy is becoming the new topic.

There are many pros and cons, but at the end of the day everyone prefers to retain their own choice.

I think ebay are listening to what members have been saying.

I used to make a lot of impulse buys while idly wandering around looking through my buyers' previous purchases and seeing what they bought. I found items which I never knew I wanted and would never in a million years have searched for -  so although I'm saving money now there's many sellers missing out on my business.

I prefer to keep my purchases to myself, particularly as I buy presents.

.com now has a "follow" button on profiles, sellers can set up collections for people to follow like in social media.
