can I cancel an accepted offer?

Hi there,

It was my first time using offer. I have give offers to two stores for same items. I received counter offers from both stores. I accidently accept all of offers. But I have already purchased the item from store 1. Now in my shopping cart I have the item listed from store 2. There is a message saying I am commited to purchase this item.

Can I cancel this from my cart? Or if I leave the item unpaid, would anything goes wrong?

Thank you

When items are in the Cart you have the option to "Pay this seller only", "pay all sellers",  "save for later".

When I have ebay discount offers I choose whichever option is appropriate.  Anything that cannot be added to the discount voucher gets relegated to "save for later" and goes to the bottom of the page.....which reminds me, I must do a cleanup of the saved items....there are rather a lot languishing there which really should be on my watch list.

Another horse, but one that doesn't need any hay!

Spoiler

Even though there's no real connection, I always think of this quotation as perfect for a vaulting horse (as in the same gym equipment which is shown in your emoticon):

I have no spur to prick the sides of my intent, but only vaulting ambition, which o’erleaps itself and falls on th’ other.

I think Corporate eBay still think in terms of "innovative disruption" - but without having any real idea what that is.

Too many people who speak of “disruption” have not read a serious book or article on the subject. Too frequently, they use the term loosely to invoke the concept of innovation in support of whatever it is they wish to do. Many researchers, writers, and consultants use “disruptive innovation” to describe any situation in which an industry is shaken up and previously successful incumbents stumble. But that’s much too broad a usage.

Thanks, but does it also clearly show which items are a purchase (accepted offer) and which items are merely placed in the cart ?

We always say that items in the cart are not purchased yet, this will probably mean buyers will forget to pay for items, especially as after an invoice is sent it no longer shows as unpaid on the My eBay summary page.

Yes, items that have been bought and invoiced are clearly labelled something to the effect that "the seller has sent an invoice for this purchase....pay now".

I might add, the unpaid items are also available in Purchase History as they always have been.   I was delighted to find them in my Cart some time ago as it meant I could combine several purchases to take full advantage of discount offers.

TBH I cannot see any negatives in this function.....about the only thing ebay has done right in a long time.

Ok thanks.

When I go into eBay I first see My eBay page and if I have won auctions it clearly shows unpaid items in buying reminders but if sellers have sent an invoices, that disappears and doesn't show anywhere until I select purchase history.

That is a problem on it's own.

My concern with the cart is that buyers might think of items in the cart as non purchases such as accepted offers however if it clearly differentiates as well as still showing unpaid in buying reminders then as you say, an improvement.

Whenever I've put items into the cart I have Save for later and next to that I have the option Remove,(so is it setup

different for an item where best offer has been accepted and the Remove option isn't there?)

I just checked....I won 2 auctions this morning and the seller has sent a combined invoice.  I can "Pay this seller only" or "Remove"  but not "Save for later".

On Sunday I could not Remove several items that had been invoiced but could Save for later.   Methinks they must be still fiddling with the functions.  It was too much to hope they would get it right first time.
