Yesterday and tonight I have been unable to buy anything thru buy now or even place bids on auctions on ebay uk. I have asked sellers if they will post, they amend their listings to say worldwide and even put in a postage amount for me for australia and every time I make a bid or try the buy now it keeps saying:
Buyer RequirementsSorry, this item can't be posted to Australia. The seller has specified that this item cannot be posted to addresses in AustraliaYou can contact the seller for more information, or find similar items offered by other sellers.
I've tried with my husband's account (huge feedback and all positives) and mine, cleared the internet cache just in case, but nothing is changing. I am missing out on heaps of items that sold and I couldn't bid or buy - any ideas?

The sellers may need to adjust the settings for their buyer requirements in their ebay account as well as their listings. That is all I can think of. The problem doesn't seem to be within your computer.

Ask the sellers to add you to their 'Bidder Exemption List' - that ought to do it. Just in case they don't know where to find that, it's right under the 'Blocked Bidders List'.

thanks, but the sellers are getting just as frustrated as me 😞 talk about making them jump through hoops just to get a sale, I have emailed one at least 6 times back and forward suggesting ways to fix it but everything they do doesn't solve the problem and I am missing out on items that are ending - so annoying. Guess all I can do is go the slow route and ask customer support. Thanks for the suggestions.

How frustrating!
Did you send the following link directly to the sellers and ask them to add your user id?
"Add a buyer to my Buyer Requirement Exemption List"
http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BidderPermitLogin
(this was accessed via the site map > Selling Activities > Manage Bidders > Buyer/Bidder Management > Buyer Requirements Exemption List)

Something similar happened to me yesterday. I went to buy something from a seller that I have bought from before. I had the item listed in my Watch List. When I clicked it, it went to their store, but only had half their items listed. Tried opening the store from a few different avenues, still the same.
Noticed in their scrolling items at the top of page a similar item to what I wanted, so I clicked it, and it took me to the item, clicked the store icon from that page and it took me into the store with everything listed....half were on .com.au, the other half were on .com
Clicked the item I wanted, came back with that message ....
Doesn't post to Australia, find another seller.
Contacted the seller, yes we post to Australia.
Can't buy the item I wanted.
Seems ebay aren't interested in making sales.

What are you trying to purchase? There are a long list of goods including anything with a lithium battery and fine jewellery that cannot be posted from the UK to Australia using Royal mail so an automatic block is put on if somebody with an Australian address bids.

Cookies are cleared daily. And it's not batteries. Just some beads that I have bought from the seller many times before. This isn't the only time this has happened. Seems to underline the rolling black-outs, with reports that only half a sellers items are visible. Usually I have been able to just go on to .com. or .uk, and buy from there. But it now seems the system is blocking this.
