closing my account but how?

I'm trying to close my account down with ebay but they wont let me can anyone give me some advice-they keep sending me bill after bill after bill. have asked ebay to finish with my account but they say i cannot so i keep getting billed forever it seems.

i seem to be locked in and there is no way out for closure here on ebay that i can just shut it down????? can anybody offer any advice. appreciated.

First up, what are you being charged for? Do you have a subscription to any paricular services, like Selling Manager Pro? You can check what the charges are for by viewing your account fees history, and you can check if you are subscribed to anything by going to Account > Subscriptions, where you should also be able to cancel any subscriptions. 

Any (legitimate) outsanding charges will need to be paid before you can manually close your account, and the account will actually remain open until a certain amount of time has passed since your last transaction.

You can't simply close a credit card account and expect to never pay just because you closed it. Don't know if it gets sent to debt collectors or get recorded on your credit file.

If you have been selling you can not close the account for 120 days from last transaction date.

When you request to close it you will be told why it can not be closed. It might be you are in creit, owe money or have to wait 30 days from the last fee payment date.

If you have not been selling anything then you need to check your subscriptions in case you are still subscribed to anything you must pay for.

Other thsan that call ebay by clicking on customer support in the top RH corner and follow the prompts till you see call us and click on that and you will see the free call number and a one time code to enter on request.

no charges but they say I still cannot close account until 30 days after last bill and them maybe they will let me depending on how they feel and if i dont reapply to shut it after such a time i again must reapply and go through whole nonsense again.

-but they also state that because im low seller i may have to somehow get my sell quotas up before they stop billing me 'im on suspension' basically [really just a con].

You're still not giving us the correct information? Ebay can not keep billing you unless you still owe ebay fees and if you have paid your final fee then you have to wait 30 days,once that's passed then you can close your account and the process will allow you to do this.

Once you have been a seller you will get monthly invoices of $0 even after you stop selling.

Why worry about it?

If you owe nothing then just simply do not use the account.

If you are sick of emails from ebay then get a new hotmail address and change the account to have that address and then never look at it again.
