eBay International Shipping using Freightster for final mile carrier - awful experience and reviews

I purchased a few items from US sellers a while ago. A few years ago eBay's international shipping used Pitney Bowes from the US hub to Australia, and then Australia Post for final mile carrier and this was fine and dandy, no issues. However, with these recent items two out of three have used PF Logistics/Freightster for the final mile. One used Couriers Please which arrived with no issue. But the Freighster, dear god. Out for delivery on a Saturday morning, then nothing until Monday when it says can't be delivery. Out for delivery again and nothing has come. They don't even have a phone number, just an email address that gives canned replies. At what point did the final mile carrier change and why are they using such a dodgy company (Check the Product Reviews, my experience is not unique, they have awful reviews). So frustrating, and these are high value collectable items I'm waiting on.

Thats a common problem around here with Australia Post as well,  generally means that we are the last on the truck,  and they have run out of time to complete the deliveries for the day,  can sometimes happen 2 or 3 times.  And than if I am lucky on the 3rd attempt they dump it at the local PO, at least I can go pick it up.

I've never had an issue with AusPost in the last 5+ years with frequent online shopping, had one item arrive broken but everything else has come on the day it's meant to with no issues.

Ebay International shipping from US to Australia. Tracking shows item sent and ends up at Glendale Heights, IL USA with the heading - Delivered, Left with individual. After that nothing else, no up dated tracking number or processing to next facility. Anyone else had this problem arise when tracking just stops and nothing else shows except that according to eBay package track, it just shows - Arrived at our international hub ?

Glendale Heights is the EIS Hub.

From there it is forwarded to you & you will receive tracking updates... not that you need them. You do after all have the Estimated Delivery Dates & the eBay Money Back Guarantee to protect you & that is all you should be concerned with.

Hello YES 😞 Exact same with my ebay purchase...Delivered to Glendale Hub 8/4/24, its now 23/4/24 & NO NEW UPDATES SINCE... OR NEW TRACKING # Just a dreadful way to run a business. I'm in Australia & have purchased many items from The USA off  Ebay , but never ever such a dreadful experience as with this item that's ended up at Glendale, then NOTHING FOR 15 DAYS !

Hello 😊 Yes all True, But the E.D.D. & eBay money back guarantee is not the point ! It's not to much to ask for a Tracking # to be provided, especially after waiting 15 days since arriving at The Glendale Hub, this to me is unacceptable & no way to run a business.

You are free to express your frustration at not receiving a tracking #.

I've never asked or worried about tracking... perhaps because I understand that tracking is for the protection of the seller.

Having a tracking # will not make the truck, train, plane or camel caravan move any faster.

As I said I only concern myself with the EDD & the MBG..

I guess if you are that concerned, only buy from sellers who use a service that meets your requirements.  You have the option of not buying.
