ebay 15% sitewide offer question..

Hi, I went ahead to purchase some gym equipment to make some savings on the 15% sitewide offer. I had committed to buy before the offer ended 11:59pm yesterday.

Now ebay won't let me complete the transaction because it asks me to message to seller for postage costs to give total due amount. I have sent the message to the seller noting that I will be picking up this item. Waiting response.

I purchased 2 items:

1st item cost $849 aud

2nd item cost $349 aud

My question is will I still be eligible for the 15% off sitewide offer?

No, the offer ended at midnight. 

The items had to be paid for before the offer ended.

Did the seller even offer Pick Up for the items you want to buy?

Good heavens, you only bought the items in the last 10 minutes of the offer.  Surely you did not expect an answer from the seller in the middle of the night.

I had overlooked the postage section as I thought their would be a pick up/ postage option box to mark and be on the way to complete the transaction. I am quite certain pick up is available as I have been in contact with the seller in the past about their products. It also says pick up is available on their website. 

I had the intentions of making payment at the same time. If I contact ebay do you think they may allow me to be eligible for the offer as I did commit to buy before the offer ended.

Paypal was one of the 5 payment options.

In the past, the email attached to the eBay account had to be the same as the PayPal address.  The fact that you had to input the voucher code at checkout would mean that cash on pickup would not qualify for the discount. 

If you were going to pickup and pay by PayPal after inspecting then that had to be completed before the stated end of offer.

I was going to make payment right after commiting to buy at the same time to be eligible for the 15% sitewide offer.

I looked at the listings for the two items and you left it far too late to ensure that you would complete the transactions before the midnight cutoff.  You only chose the second item at less than 4 minutes to midnight.

Sorry if my post seems unsympathetic, because I don't have feelings one way or the other.

I am posting here so that you might learn that next time there is an eBay promotion you will buy early and not in the final minutes of the promotion.

No, you did not fulfil your obligations to be eligible for the 15% discount.

Again, No . . . . .  I do not think they will make an exception for you in this instance, but you can try!
