ebayplus $20 off?

While in Checkout about to pay for a number of items from a seller in my cart, I noticed a message in the blue ebayplus banner saying something about saving $20 on the purchase by joining ebayplus. I went and joined (free trial, obviously), went back to checkout and the message had changed to just "Free delivery & returns on millions of eBay Plus items". There is no voucher  available in checkout wxcept the PICKLE one, which only saves me $2.15.

Has anyone else seen the $20 off message or did I misread it?

It usually takes until your eBay Plus membership is confirmed before the discount applies.

Edit. To add I don't think the discount will apply unless you sign up for a paying membership.

I believe you have to allow some time for the ebay Plus membership to activate.....you have to wait for an email.

Are you sure the items you are buying are eligible for the discount?

The same happened to me. I called ebay and they said you needed to click on the pop-up ad to join and you automatically receive a $20 voucher code. My partner tried it and it worked.
